Ontario Government Funding
Funding is provided through the Ministry of Community and Youth Services
In Ottawa, CHEO has the contract for the Region. Once you receive funding you can select whether you want DSO (Direct Service Option… your child will go to CHEO for services – http://www.cheo.on.ca/en/ibi OR DFO (Direct Funding Option) – where you can bring your child to Portia or another approved provider by CHEO.
In Whitby, Kinark Family Services has the contract for the Region. Once you receive funding you can select whether you want DSO (Direct Service Option… your child will go to Kinark for services – http://www.kinark.on.ca OR DFO (Direct Funding Option) – where you can bring your child to Portia or another approved provider by Kinark.
If you or your spouse is a member of your employer’s group health benefits plan you will most likely have psychological insurance which can be used to help pay for therapy, parent training, and assessments.

Ottawa - Service Coordination
